Purpose Statement

The purpose and mission of the National Association of Asian Indian Christians in the USA, Inc. is to bring together the diverse Indian Christian Americans for national and regional fellowships to realize their oneness in Christ and to enable them to engage together in their common pursuit of mission and ministry and other activities of common interests.

To achieve the above purpose the association does the following:

1. Conduct prayer vigils in front of the Indian Consulate and United Nations and present memorandums to those and other agencies with regard to the violation of religious freedom in India and provide prayer solidarity to the Christians of India during their times of crisis;

2. Participate in the annual India Day parade in New York in August through a Christian float to honor the independence of India and provide information to the Indian public about the Christian ministries available in New York area;

3. Sponsor a Home for Children in India where very destitute, orphan and semi-orphan children are admitted and cared for and sent to school. We also liberate children from child labor and admit them in the Home.

4. Facilitate an annual gathering in New Jersey so diverse people can gather together in an ecumenical spirit to worship, hear inspirational speeches, enjoy cultural programs, dinner and hear reports of the activities from the leadership.

5. Report to the State of New Jersey annually and file 990 tax form with IRS annually.
